After the terror unleashed on Lake Victoria in PIRANHA 3D, the pre-historic school of blood thirsty piranhas are back. This time, no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of summer's best attraction, The Big Wet Water Park. Christopher Lloyd (BACK TO THE FUTURE) reprises his role as the eccentric piranha expert with survivor Paul Scheer (THE LEAGUE) and a partially devoured Ving Rhames (PULP FICTION) back for more fish frenzy. David Hasselhoff trades in the sandy beaches of "Baywatch" to be a celebrity lifeguard at the racy water park.
Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes
The director, John Gulager, has no idea how to mix his ingredients to create a savvy self-parody.Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, 06.01.2012
The first half of the film merely treads water in anticipation for the eventual bloodbath, and once the teeth start gnawing, it's just one laborious machination after another to get to the end of the movie, which stops without much of a resolution.Kyle Anderson, Entertainment Weekly, 06.02.2012
Ups the self-parody so much that it's practically a Wayans Brothers spoof, albeit with fewer jokes.Leslie Felperin, Variety, 05.14.2012
With most of the running time devoted to setting up and over-explaining the premise, mayhem gets short shrift.Justin Lowe, Hollywood Reporter, 06.02.2012
