The Decoy Bride
When the wedding of internationally famous film star Lara Tyler (ALICE EVE) to tweedy English author James Arber (DAVID TENNANT) is sabotaged by a paparazzo, they decide to relocate one place where the world's press won't find them: the sleepy Scottish Island of Hegg. But to the shock of Lara's P.A Steve Korbitz (MICHAEL URIE), the reality of the island is different from the Bride's romanticised vision and he has to transform this fantasy world before the superstar arrives. Things get even more complicated when an ingenious paparazzo tracks them down in his mission to photograph the celebrity wedding of the year. Enter Katie (KELLY MACDONALD), a beautiful local who might be the perfect decoy bride.

Instead of working to clarify its high-concept contrivances, the romantic comedy "The Decoy Bride" jettisons logic and detail for silly-quirky rompiness.
Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, 03.15.2012 -
A bland romantic comedy in the Richard Curtis style, The Decoy Bride is mainly notable for its proof, if any was needed after Boardwalk Empire, that Kelly Macdonald is a major talent.
Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, 03.09.2012 -
Pernicious tripe suitable only for masochists and the intellectually disabled...
Michael Atkinson, Village Voice, 03.06.2012 -
Predictable, plodding and paltry, Folkson's film looks cheap and like the mock wedding, nothing in it - especially the emotions - feels real, with the quality cast looking understandably disinterested.
James Mottram, Total Film, 02.26.2012
